Review of AirBrush AI Headshot Generator

AI generated headshots are all the thing right now and there are a lot of new apps, web and mobile to choose from. I am in the process as I type of trying AirBrush and have some thoughts.

First off you have to pay 19.99 for 40 headshots or 4.99 for one. The 40 for 19.99 sounds like a good deal. But, first you need to enter your credit card info (so annoying) and pick up to 10 photos. You won’t be able to move to the next step unless you have 10 or more photos. I thought I would be able to do 40 at different times. But, that’s not the case.

If you don’t have 10 selfies or photos of yourself you can just keep loading up the same images until you get to 10. The “clothing” items are limited to tuxedos, suits, scrubs, light-colored top which I think for women is a light blue button down, grey, etc. You won’t get a lot of individuality here, and the outfits are really dull in my opinion but this is AI.

For the location, you can choose from an office, park, bookshelves, real estate, a hospital, a window, and a few others. Again, these are very generic in nature. You can also choose a background in a neutral color. You’ll need to choose photos that have your face nicely centered. No profile pics. They do have a “how-to” best shots for photos which is helpful in picking a photo that will work

After you load up your 10 photos, pick your clothing and background, and hit APPLY, you’ll need to wait for about 2 hours as they generate into headshots. So, we wait…..

Okay, they have been generated, and it did not take 2 hours. Maybe the more individual photos you have the longer it takes. I only had three photos, so I think I would have spent more time taking some decent selfies before spending 20.00 for 40 headshots. Again, I thought I could do 40 whenever I pleased.

Airbrush has a huge suite of creative photo services. I have only reviewed the headshot generator. It looks to be a robust photo editing and AI image-making program.

Here are the photos I used.

And here is a sample of the 40 results…. WTH? I look like a Game of Thrones extra. Or a world-weary private eye on the tough streets of NYC. Granted I did this really fast, maybe there was a step I missed.
